I was replaying the game again, and during the conversation where Emma explains how The Patriots altered the reports of how many genes are in a person. It was bugging me as to just why the Patriots would erase that genetic information. Do we ever find out why?
shareNo, they never give a specific reason why the Patriots would want to alter that information. Maybe the Patriots altered that information because they didn't want scientists to study those genes? I don't think we'll ever find out.

I think it was just put in there to let us know how much control they really have over information and such.
