They Should Revamp This game
Its been out of print for 17 years now. Redo it like the new sheeit.

What they should do is take the Final Fantasy Origins route... take both the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear: Solid Snake, with a little fancier graphics and sound, as well as put some minor touches on translation ("I feel asleep.") and then bring it over to GBA. They'd make a fortune, especially since Solid Snake is vastly superior to the terrible Snake's Revenge, and on top of that it's nearly impossible to find without emulation. I tell you, they'd make a fortune.

I think they should just remake all of them but omit the ones made in 2000.They have been good enough.

Last I heard, back when Sons Of Liberty was being released, Kojima-san had said he wasn't going to release remakes or emulated versions of the previous games. He had said this was because the 'Solid' games that had been made and were going to be made used elements from the first 2 MSX games. This was to my huge dissapointment, but there were some excellent websites, especially the Metal Gear 2 translation project (I think that's what it was called). I hadn't much time to spend on the Metal Gear scene for the last couple of years, but now I've finished school, I should have the time to contribute something.
shareyeh theyre redoing this game for ps2 as well as the other game on msx. theyre releasing the games in mgs3 subsistance. hope this helps.

They should remake all of the games except MGS3 and MSG4 (obviously) for the PS3. It would bring the series to a newer generation. Im 18 and i started out playing MGS3 but i didn't really get the story that linked everything together because its all on older gen systems and the games themselves are really hard to get your hands on.
I would love to see them updated to todays gaming standards.
They should definitely remake Metal Gear 1 and 2. The Metal Gear Solid series is so great with its graphics, cutscenes, performances, gameplay, and stories. I think that by making these two games with the same styles as MGS3 or MGS4 the saga will reach an even higher level. They need the cutscenes and stories to be real and arouse emotion, especially the parts with Snake and Grey Fox. Snake talks about fighting with Grey Fox in the later games, but in Metal Gear all he does is save him and we never see him again. The remakes should have the same stories and characters much more added. It should not change any information that is referenced in any other game, but it can shed some light on the formation of the patriots, without Solid Snake knowing anything about that, the conflict between Big Boss and Zero, etc. Also, the story within the game can be grown to include more themes and problems. It has the potential to be a great addition to the series.
