We start in October 1954. The station calls a special meeting. A big deal is made about cutting the show by half an hour. An observer is brought in. Then when they all go out to dinner, there's a movie sign announcing "The Rose Tattoo", debuting in December 1955. So this whole decision took over a year? Unlikely.
