What birds are they?

What sort of birds are the small ones? I and my wife would really like to know.
We are living in Ludwigsburg (Germany) and in the zoo of the castle gardens I can swear I saw these, the same chatting, and giggling sounds, and the typical orange beaks.
It was as if they were in a cafe, discussing the latest events :) Was really funny, we recognised them instantly. But the next time we were there, and that was ater a year, we couldn't find them in their places, and noone could tell what we were talking about :(

Maybe someone from Pixar is reading this thread, so please: what are these birds called in the nature?

Thanks in advance

They look like starlings.

I think they are Amadinas - my aunt keeps six of them at home :) They are making exactly the same noises! (I've found some families are referred to as Cutthroat / Redheaded Finch)

Going by the forked tails, the social behaviour, and the gathering on telephone wires, I assumed they were meant to be cartoon swallows.

But what on earth was the other bird?
