Poor Will Smith. Ali was an unplayable character.

Muhammad was truly one of the most charismatic beings to ever grace the planet. I can't think of anyone in the acting world who could have done him justice because this is the one case where the subject of a biopic actually had more originality and magnetism than Hollywood could ever dream of pumping into a fictional portrayal. Smith is a fine actor and he gave this role his best but for those of us who have seen the man himself, it doesn't measure up to the genuine article. That's not a criticism. Ali was the embodiment of human greatness.

Funny because Ali himself said he did great in the role, but I guess you know better than Ali?

The problem for me was Will Smith and the woman that played Veronica. I got a chance to see Ali and Veronica at LAX after they returned from the Trevor Berbick defeat. Veronica wasn't in the best of moods, but she was absolutely stunning. Ali would have said they're not pretty enough to play us!
