Did anyone notice that the locations didn't look quite right for a film set in the USA? That was what first got me when watching this. Being a NuImage film, my guesses were Bulgaria or South Africa. Turned out the former was correct. What did surprise me however was that they went to the bother of getting many American cars for the film, a good number of which get crashed when it doesn't try to hide the fact that the streets and architecture just don't look right.

very true nu-image seem to film a good few of thier movies in Bulgaria including RATS

yeah, it was really fun filming there ;D even if it DID look wrong..lol..

I wasn't quite sure if they were in the US or not, but I knew it wasn't the NYC area.

Funny how almost everything "American" in the movie looks like it's from the 70's: mostly the cars, furniture and the wood paneling.
