Haha I bought this for £1...

...the other day, so I wasn't expected much but I thought what the hell it's got 3 big American movie stars how bad can it be?! Oh dear God it was bad. But so bad it was actually hilarious in parts. I can't believe any of them actually signed up for it. The special effects in the cars and on the boat were so fake, it was v amusing. I'm glad I only spent a pound on it lol.

Did you get it at Woolworths? The ones they have there say on the box that they only have a 60 minute run time. That can't be right, can it?

The comments here make me think that it may be worth spending £1 for unintentional comedy, like a post-Tarantino Deadly Prey. Is it funny enough to be worth it?

Lol yep got it in Woolworths. Nah it's longer than 60 mins, I think it lasted about an hour and a half. Hmm well it's funny cos it's so random and such poor special effects, had me laughing for most of it cos it's just such a ridiculous film! I'd say go for it, it's only a pound after all...

Thanks.

No worries. Let me know what you think of it if you do end up buying it lol.

I also saw it in Woolworths for a quid and thought about getting it(because i like Christian Slater) but didn't, i think i might do now though...

I picked it up in Woolworths for £1 too, figured couldn't lose out. Didn't notice it said 60min runtime till now, lol, no it's def longer. Film was ok overall, though yup, car and boat effects really stood out as bad.

A Ganguro Girl adds a touch of class.

Lol seems like everyones spotted this Woolies bargain. I'm glad I didn't spend more than a pound, but it was definately 'entertaining' : )

reply

I never did buy it, and they probably don't sell it anymore... oh well.

reply

They had a few left near me as of a couple of days ago.

How should I know? Ask the OP.

I bought a copy in mid-May, although I didn't get around to watching it until around mid-to-late-June (I have a big backlog of unwatched DVDs). It was nowhere near as bad as it was supposed to be, but it wasn't exactly good. I never really got bored watching it, though. Some of the plot holes and effects were pretty funny. It was definitely worth the £1. It would have felt a little expensive at £2, and like a complete ripoff at £5.

There still selling it! Got it today (16/01/2008) for 83p!!! Haven't watched it yet but after reading these comments i'm looking forward to it...

Mate of mine got it for 83p too. The best part, the tagline, "Every one's got their price", they worked Christian Slater's down to the penny.
