How this event could have been better

1. Instead of boxing let Mr.T and Roddy Piper face each other in a more
tradtional gimmick match. Im thinking an Indian Stap, Dog Collar, Scalfold,
or a Coal Miners glove match. I know Piper and T have a history of each
refusing to put each other but since there 3 big matches in this I think
they should let a heel come on top on just one. Piper wins but with some help
from Bob Orton.

2. Replace George Steele with Paul Ordorff in the IC title match with Randy
Savage (save the Steele feud for SNME and WWF Superstars). Ordorff would have
a much better match with Savage. I say both Ordorff gets a DQ victory so not
to ruin his monentum when he becomes Hulk's number 1 threat to the WWF title
shortly after this.

3. Go ahead and start the classic Jake Roberts vs Rick Steamboat feud here. Roberts
and Steamboat actually wrestle here but Jake gives Steamboat a DDT on the
concrete floor and win by countout. This will help give Roberts a major heel
push.

I was just thinking about the one WWF/WWE legend that never competed in a Wrestlemania is Jesse Ventura. He was a commentator at several Manias but never
wrestled at the event. He should have been in the battle royal (replaced one
of the football players) and been the last one in the ring with Andre the Giant.
He puts up a good fight with Andre before getting eliminated last. That would
made Wrestlemania 2 more classic

Ventura was already retired due to injuy.

Can you imagine a scaffold match in the WWF in 1986. I don't think that would have gone over so well.

reply

Don't use inexperienced commentators! Listening to Elvira was brutal, considering she didn't know the names of any of the wrestlers.

If you're not taking any steps forward, you're not moving at all.

A better finish for the cage match could have been Bundy do a big splash on Hulk from the top of the cage and miss. Hulk then climbs to the top of the cage and does his leg drop on to Bundy. Hulk then walks out the cage the winner
