So, did the Monster die at the end of the movie or not? I just watched it and it is not clear.

Personally I think that a couple of things might have happened; either the Dr. made him cease to exist, and therefore everyone present would all of a sudden have no idea why they were there -- or the machine made humanity cease to exist, and again the Monster would be alone and have to witness evolution all over again...
