Ebert

I picked up Roger Ebert's book called "I Hated Your Movie," or something like that, the other day. It's a collection of his most negative reviews. It has a rather funny cover.

No Such Thing--my favorite Hal Hartley film possibly, or maybe second-favorite, after Amateur--is reviewed within.

I didn't actually read the review. Ebert reviews tend to be 70% unnecessary synopsis, 30% disengenuous rationalization.

Anyway. There you go. As I said when Siskel died: "It shoulda been Ebert."

If you dislike him so much why oh why did you buy his book??

LOL, my thoughts exactly.

I didn't buy it. I PICKED IT UP, read some of it, and PUT IT BACK DOWN.

Anyway who buys books. Shoplift them.

Without going into Ebert Drivel (his real name), I will say that there are films which I rate very highly which he rates, shall one say, a bit less highly. Therefore, if he don't like it, I probably will.

This is one example of such.
