Did the monster remind anyone of...

Henry Fool in Henry Fool? Same clothes, rants had a similar quality. Obviously Thomas Jay Ryan doesn't look like a monster, and I know Robert Burke played the part in No Such Thing, but did anyone else notice the similarity?

I feel a bit light-headed. Maybe you should drive.

I definitely got a "Henry Fool" vibe watching this because the earlier Hal Hartley film was on my mind and because the characters have similar personalities – intelligent and sensitive but deeply troubled and anti-social. I was also reminded of Robert De Niro in the 1994 "Frankenstein."
