In real life...

In real life, I think the monster would've been snagged by the government and taken to an experimental lab somewhere. I mean, come on...are you telling me that a monster would be able to chill and get drunk at a hotel, without it raising any eyebrows (specifically by law enforcement or some sector of the government). Don't get me wrong, I really liked the overall movie and I can easily look past that flaw in the film. I just found the general public's reaction to be pretty unrealistic.
