Which Bollywood actress fits Lata Mangeshkar's voice the best?

I think that it is Jaya Bachchan in Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham - She is looks like she could really break into song with Lata Mangeshkar's voice lol

I only watched Bollywood films that are dated after about 1995 (Im sorry, but i will start watching the Raj Kapoor films!)

Other actresses i've seen with Lata Mangeshkar singing:
Kajol - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Mere Khwaabon was quite fitting)
Aishwarya Rai - Mohabbatein (I don't think she fitted well lol)
Preity Zinta - Veer Zaara (Tere Liye seemed excellent! But her opening song in her bedroom i hated it, it seemed like the Mere Khwaabon from DDLJ)
Madhuri Dixit - Dil To Pagal Hai (This was quite good)
Karisma Kapoor - Dil To Pagal Hai (Also was good)

This is all i am familiar with right now

In my opinion, no actress has been able to look fitting while lip syncing to Lata mangeshkar's voice post 1994 (Kajol as you mentioned).
This is not to say that I don't like Lata Mangeshkar's songs. The songs are beautiful and melodious. And she is the original nightingale. I just don't think any "face" fits her voice anymore.
Jaya Bachchan singing comes close because she's older, and so is Lata's voice.

I guess you could say I find it stupid when younger actresses move to Lata's songs.
I like them playing in the background like Tere Liye from Veer-Zaara etc.
This is my personal opinion of course.

Actually, I'm in total agreement!
She ruined many films' music! Why Yash Chopra kept putting her in is incomprehensible.

I don't mind Yash Chopra asking her to sing for his films. But the songs have to be selective and picturised properly. Which they're not, and that's why her voice seems improperly and overly used.
