does rahul love anjali after marriage?

I don't think he does..he seems to get really annoyed and frustrated with her all the time. For example, in the bole chudiyan song, when their son sings the national anthem, and he doesn't seem to care about her very much either..he didn't care whether it is hurting his wife's feelings that they don't live in india or he didn't go back to his house for 10 years. He didn't care about her tears when she was begging him to go back.

Even when after the prayer scene kajol asks srk to come back home early and he asks why?? What the hell?

If you see other movies like...
baghban- hema and amitabh married for 40 years..their love is still going strong..can't live without each other..amitabh doesn't get annoyed with her even once.
kank- abhishek still head over heels in love with rani after four years.
chalte chalte- srk all over rani the whole time.

srk in this movie doesn't look like he can't live without kajol or he's still in love with her..i bet he's just staying with her because he has a son and she is an orphan and she has no one else. It's like he married her out of pity.

reply

he is in love with Kajol (errr... that's why he danced with her!!!). He was upset because his "daughter" was being flirted with. And he was normally upset! Had he known it was his own brother, nothing would have been made of it. The love affair between J & SRK was HUGE! You should really re-examine the film and even look at the deleted scenes. They were devoted to each other)

He still loved her...I will admit he had a tendency to be grumpy on occasions but that was only because 1) He didn't like the way Pooja dressed in front of the guys and I have to say that is no way for a decent woman like her to dress. 2)He also didn't know that the new housemate was really his brother and he was simply reluctant to take in a "stranger" which we all have that tendency. Then as far as the business with his father, he had every right to be angry about that since his father did not approve of Anjali and he was simply fighting for the lady he loves.

Can't touch this........

But what about giving those two woman in the shopping mall a suggestive look. ..the shopping mall scene was a deleted scene in k3g. That's just disgusting.

Even talking friendly to the principal and giving her a blow kiss at their son's singing performance.

He seems to get annoyed with her all time...like calling her mad or mental...even in the scene where rohan offers rahul a lift and anjali asks him to come back home early and he asks why?? He was even frustrated with her behaviour (she stood up and whistled) at their son's performance.

What about the scene near the climax where anjali is crying and begging rahul to go back to india and they will ask for forgiveness? He doesn't even comfort her..he just shuts her up by saying "you will never understand..".

reply

You grossly exaggerate!
The shopping mall incident was supposed to be "cute". And if we're not allowed to look at anyone what's the point of having vision?
Most people are friendly to one another in that context! and blowing a kiss is just a polite (but remote) way of displaying care.
He gets annoyed but only briefly! - After all, she is a hothead. and in your face. Whereas, he tries to keep things more subdued.
In the climax he doesn't "shut her up". He is deeply hurt at that time and he's trying to make his wife understand his pain. And, his reason is quite moving.

reply

He shouldn't look at other women when he's married...
And he hardly showers her with love and affection- in the scene where anjali tells him he looks sexy he doesn't let anjali kiss him does he? Why would krishi be in their room anywayz?? Even asking her why should he return home early seems a little unusual to me...(if you don't know what i'm talking about, this scene was straight after the prayer scene).

reply

How about the fact that he is on his way to work!!!
By the way, do you think every married person should blinders put on? The reality is look but don't touch. That should be enough for most people. If it's not enough for you then I feel very bad for you.
Asking why he should return early was just a continuation of their phony bantering/arguing just prior to that moment.
Also, Anjali was always far more forward than him - one of the many reasons he loved her. I really hope you find someone to love you as much as he loved his wife (he even had to give up his family).

reply

What about in baghban? Amitabh was also looking forward to spending time with Hema rather than going to work. Did Rahul? No.

I also found that rahul gets annoyed with her unnecessarily. In the scene where their son was performing and anjali calls him "sweetoo" he gives a weird look. What's his problem?

Even when anjali is enjoying rohan singing the "om jai jagdish" song (remember the prayer scene?) and rahul doesn't like that she is enjoying it?? Again what's his problem??

If i found out my husband was looking at other women (i'm not married btw i'm 19) i would be angry with him and ask him why and go "are you not attracted to me anymore?" or "am i not good enough for you anymore?".

I didn't like karan portrayed srk-kajol's marriage in k3g- he should've shown those two being more loving and affectionate towards one another. And also rahul not getting annoyed with everything that anjali does!!

have you seen the deleted scenes on the special edition?
I wish I could see your response to this thread some 10 years from now.

reply

Yes i have. But those scenes were when they were married for only a few years.

reply

The scenes were opposite Hrithik!!! - his brother. They are absolutely current (with his brother in London). This was 10 years later.

reply

What r u talking about? Those deleted scenes were when they moved to London and how Rahul got a job, anjali being pregnant etc, another one of the scenes were when anjali is wearing a black dress and dancing with rahul etc. Is this the scene you're talking about?

reply

yes

reply

No i'm not saying that. If you see that scene in the mall again he was flirting with those girls and sort of ogling at them when they left...

Dude, couldn't you see the attraction in that scene??? And Anjali even says, "I'm normally the one saying 'No, Krish might see'." What does that imply? That he's usually the one who starts it. Which in turn implies that yes, he does love her.

reply

I don't think they were in their room, and this scene is a sweet nod to DDLJ where SRK ask Kajol to kiss him and she replies that her sister could see, that's why in KKKG she replies : hey that's my line ;) . For people who doesn't have seen DDLJ that's surely said that it's him who usual runs after her.

Rahul is more reserved than his wife but, even if he seems to always complain about her ways, it is why he fell in love with her and he still loves her. I think they both like to fight with each other, and as said before, in one deleted scene you can see a lot of tenderness, and in another one in London 10 years after that they still attracted to each other (Anjali have passed the black dress of the mall and tease her husband who totaly enter in her game).

And belive me, when you ask your husband/wife to come back early, the reply IS "why", no ofense intended, one's just want to know if there something special.

Sorry for bad English, not my langage.

reply

I think a scene where he supports her although he has to leave his family for her would have been nice. It must have been painful knowing she's the reason. I never doubted he loves her though.
