I can't believe how dumb these people are thinking they can get by with murder. Like the ones who try to make it look like a robbery gone wrong leave anything of value at the scene.

What bothers me is the cops and forensic people talking about how the criminals think they can outsmart us (meaning the cops and forensic people) yet there are so many unsolved crimes.
It comes off as arrogant when there are so many people that have outsmarted them.

Yeah, that bugs me too. We're only hearing about the cases that were solved, so that's a huge selection bias. Also, what about the deaths where we don't even know a crime has been committed? There have been plenty of cases where someone kills their spouse and it is deemed an accident or natural causes. It is only found to be otherwise after they kill a second person, which prompts authorities to reรซxamine the earlier death. So how many people get away with murder because they only do it once?
