Super Troopers is my favorite Brian Cox movie. You can have your Bourne and X-Men (the original Stryker pre-X-Men Origins).
While I'm sure it was acting on camera, hanging out with the BL guys I'm sure he had plenty of practice.
BTW, the scene in the beginning when Mac takes 4 shots of liquor ... I don't recommend doing this. Especially when the only liquor you have in the house is Bacardi 151. Only took ten minutes before it came back up. Probably a good thing, would have been a wicked hangover otherwise.
I could understand the Bacardi 151 making you sick, but I can chug a half pint of 80 proof liquor like it's nothing. Hell, even just 4 shots of Bacardi 151 is nothing. I did 3 shots of Golden Grain which is 195 proof after drinking about 12 cups of beer from a keg and drinking several cups of hunch punch.

They were probably all drunk. They were given a general script to follow but 80% of it was their own drunken improvisation.
