Queen Clarise's US home.

I know this is a fictional character and fictional story but I wondered how a person from another country (even royalty) could easily secure what seemed like a huge estate when they were only going to be in the country temporarily.

It was actually the Genovia Embassy, which is basically the office/resident that represent the country. Or in Queen Clarise's case, where she stays when she comes to the country. Most countries will have Embassies for that very reason.

Thank you.

Actually, countries have only one embassy and that is in Washington DC. The country will have Counsellets in most major cities. These are usually small, but since the Queens granddaughter lives in this particular city, the government most likely built a larger one with the expectation that the Queen would spend more time there.
