Two things I didn't get

OK, I hope someone can help me with these. Here we go...

1) The movie was supposed to make the viewer believe that the rich dude was going to buy the stamps, right? If you were this guy, you would let the stamp owners leave and come back and give them the money without checking the stamps again? What if they had the real stamps the first time and then gave him some forged ones?

2a) Considering the ending, why was it necessary for the girl to "sleep" with the rich guy? They could have taken the check without the sex. A possible answer is that, this was the only way to make Marcos confess to his brother that he cheated, but.....

....2b) There's no way a girl would fall so easily to have sex with a total stranger for the sake of "truth" or even for money. This is mostly happening in porn movies. It was supposed to be extremely believable for Marcos, but instead it was like "-hey, I know you hate me, but could you please sleep with a stranger for me? I'll give you some money too" "-yes, of course, I don't mind being called a whore, as long as you tell our brother the truth". It was unnucessary for the plot, Juan could have arranged to take the check without the girl's assistance.
