This movie or Little Children?

Would you say this movie or Little Children is Todd Fields' greatest accomplishment?

As much as I love "Little Children" (so much, in fact, that it is my best pic for 2006), it does not even compare to "In the Bedroom." I believe Bedroom's about the best movie made in the last decade, and I would probably rank it in my top 10 favorite American films ever. What do you think?

Seriously? Can't agree, LC is my preference. This one is amazing, it's just too hard for me.

Top ten for me too..In the Bedroom is far superior to Little Children. I could relate to many of the characters in ITB but to none of the characters in Little Children.

My wife and I watched both Little Children and In the Bedroom last night. Didn't realise they were made by the same guy. Hands down for us Little Children was much better overall. Both good movies, LC was just better.

I have to say "In the bedroom" is better then "Little children".

"Little children" isn`t bad though but I found it to be to emotionally forced in the end, as opposed to "In the bedroom"

I love both films. I own them both. I think Todd Field took much bigger risks as a director on "Little Children" though. The film has it's own style that's never been seen before or again. On the contrary, I'm absolutely in the love with the performances of "In The Bedroom", and I find it to be a fascinating film from start to finish. I first saw it about 6 years ago and I still find it extremely gripping.

ooh.... It's a tough call.

I guess I prefer "In The Bedroom" but I'm not sure either is 'better' film.

I'd have to say In the Bedroom. I loved Little Children, but it's coldness made it very hard to relate to.

Little Children. I'm a big Kate Winslet fan so I'm a little bias.

Coming is my style, but I have to go.

In the bedroom for me. I agree about LC's coldness...I guess you could say I just "didn't get it." I'm not knocking it though, I think it's pretty obvious a movie like LC is not for everyone. I loved In the Bedroom. However if you asked this question on the Little Children board I'm sure you'd get different answers.

In the Bedroom, no doubt in my mind. Little Children had its moments of insight into the human condition, but not anything even close to In the Bedroom.

Both Great! Little Children is more my taste but In the Bedroom is a fantastic piece of art.

Oh an Todd Fields' work with Aqua Teen Hunger Force is by far his greatest accomplishment! haha j/k

Sound is usually the greatest character, even if the sound is absent
