Was there a scene with Daniel an Miriam that was edited out?

I didn't get this part: after Daniel goes to the Jewish book store, he runs into and old friend and his fiancé, Miriam. He then finds out that Miriam works for the DA and knows who he is. Then he meets with her and she asks him to where a wire to bust Lina. She says that "She doesn't really care about the truth, she only cares about him (Daniel)."

Where did that come from? Why was she all of the sudden in love with him??
