I'm not really that far into watching the series, but I must say I love it(despite some of the "problems" it has). Wish there could've been ALOT more blood like there was in the original Record of Lodoss War.

I agree. There wasn't too much blood in it, but it does pick up more toward the end. (IMO) (I did love the whole thing, but I liked the last few episodes about the best....)

One thing that I'm confused about is Little Neese. In the first 8 episodes of Heroic Chronicles, it takes place 5 years after Ghim's death. So Little Neese is about 4-5 years old(?). Then in episode 9 when it's nine years later, she's probably only about 13-14 years old. Spark looks alot older. He looked like he was about 10 years old when he first met Parn, and then 9 years later, he seems to be in his very late teens. I just thought it was kind of wierd; Spark seems about 20 years old and Little Neese is nothing more than a young teenager. I'm not past the 13th episode yet, but I obviously have a strong feeling Little Neese and Spark will get into a strong relationship with one another(kind of like Parn and Deedlit). Oh, and Parn looked cooler when he was older. I was thinking he was in his early 30's by the time Spark is old enough to train as a knight. *snickers*

Yeah, I didn't really try to figure out her age....but later on she actually looks a little older, so maybe she's really 15 or 16 and just little....and I sort of thought of Spark as being 18 or 19....I guess it's not really a huge age difference.
And Parn did look cool^__^

Meh, I didn't like the fact that Orson AND Ashram died in nearly the same episode.

Yeah. That was a little....well....if you skipped over watching the chibis, then the dramatic effect wasn't really lost. It annoyed me (I watched all the chibis, but wish I'd skipped them) the most how right after Orson died, they had this stupid chibi thing and it sort of lost the effect that his death should have had.

I didn't bother to watch the chibis parts, but I get what you mean. After King Kashue, Parn, etc. were to supposed to fight Ashram, you have that chibis thing going on. lmao

I know!!! they just ruin the moment....it's good that you're skipping them. If you're ever REALLY bored, I guess you could watch them, but they just annoy me so much...lol

Hhhmm, what else to discuss? Does it ever say how old Deedlit is in the anime? I think it said in one of the chibi parts that Deedlit is 160 years old. I don't understand why Parn and Deedlit just don't make love with each other already. They've been together, what 14 years? and still Deedlit won't pop out a half-elf child. Slayn and Leylia had a child immediatley, why not Parn and Deedlit?

Lol, Leaf doesn't even look like Parn or Deedlit. How come we never seen other elves in the series? We only see humans.

I know, we really only ever saw humans, but it would've been nice if there were more elves....there was Pirotess and the other dark elves, but other than that there weren't any more elves....

We never get to see the dwarves either. Ghim dies, and then Greevus(sp?) comes up in heroic chronicles. Also, what ever happened to Woodchuck?

ive watched parts of it, but i heard parn and deedlit have minimal at best appearances in episodes 9-27, and i dont care much for the new main character, thats why id like to see another ova/show focusing on parn again. But i do like the chibi part, the reason we dont see other elfs like deedlit is because she is a high elf, something born only once every few hundred years or so?
By the way what do you think happens between them, parn will eventually age and die, but deedlit is immortal?
I think she'll just stay with Parn until the end, and after that I think she'd probably just mourn him. (I guess she could be killed in battle one day? or else maybe she'd just have to go on forever...)
And yeah, Parn and Deedlit are in it that much. (but it's still pretty good) (and Spark grows on you) (well, he did on me...lol)
