The girl in the episode about bullied nerdy students.

In the episode with the two students who became friends (one appeared to get shot in a robbery), the guy with near endless forgiveness was often seen talking with a beautiful mysterious girl.. I never did come to a satisfactory conclusion to what she represented.. I'm thinking Touched by an Angel spin, but I'm not sure what the point of her character was since the one student seemed to be on a mission to help the other resolve his issues.. Any opinions?

Characters that might be 'angels' appear in many episodes. Many appear suddenly and disappear just as suddenly.

What's even more baffeling is that Jonathan says she's Dwyane's girlfriend "Lisa", but Dwayne said there was no girl and nobody uttered the name "Lisa" until Jonathan did. Was the aspect of the episode that solved this perhaps deleted?
