GIRLFRIENDS: The Movie

On September 30, creator Mara Brock Akil sparked interest in a "Girlfriends" movie with a single tweet (@MaraBrockAkil) "#Girlfriends LIVES... Now back on the grind to get #Girlfriendsmovie."

Hopefully executive producer Kelsey Grammer and CBS Television Studios will jump on board this idea and greenlight the project. With the recent re upping of "Akil Productions" production deal with BET Networks it would make perfect sense for them to produce the film given how well "Girlfriends" spin-off "The Game" has done for the network.

Maybe if enough traction is gained, CBS Films can get involved and take the film onto a theatrical level.
