You mean like ghetto?

Yeah she was but they definitely toned her down some as the show progressed. One of my favorites episodes is the one where she & Darnell renewed their vows and she and Joan got in a big argument. That was in Season 1. But by Season 3 Maya was a lot less ghetto than she used to be

Criminal talk might be erratic-behaviored talk, with or without bad language. It seems worsely offensive, but it can lead you into jail automatically.

The vow renewal is one of my favorite episodes too. I didn't like Joan in it. I had a dress similar to the bridesmaid dress and it wasn't cheap.

I believe you have misjudged the character completely. Maya Wilkes was a Christian, a legal secretary, (often times) a single mom, a self-published author and a loyal friend. Her character was often on the defense because Joan had the law degree and money coming in, Toni was successful in real estate and Lynn (didn't care for her, but) also had degrees and being young and childless, was free to do whatever--Maya meanwhile had to be more (here's a more appropriate word) assertive and demonstrative to 'prove' herself as a peer.

Not really, her talking style is worse as a rottened criminal type than the other three girlfriends, unfortunately, no offense, IMO.

There is no such thing as "criminal talk" unless you're thinking of specific code words, in which case they never crossed Maya's lips. You might be thinking of the fact that she has a blend of ghetto and southern-fried dialect, though that you associated any of that with "criminal talk" is a nasty can of prejudiced worms no one feels like opening right now.

You want to talk about a "rottened" girlfriend, let's talk about Toni. Selfish, pretentious, shallow, has little respect for anyone, and uses her friends every chance she gets. Doesn't matter how you talk if you're an awful person.

irehawk: There are no such words as 'worser' or 'rottened' and you can see for yourself. Can you explain this criminal talk? There is however much irony in this entire thread after you went on about how Maya talked then proceeded to type what is considered nonsense to English speakers. You either have non-existing and missing words or they are moved around to not form a correct sentence. Almost every post. The very reason I asked were you serious. No need to dare me because I already did. Perhaps if you gave a reasonable thought as an op and we then agree or disagree to it that would be good. Given what you did type; I take it you don't like Maya's- voice or accent. Was one or the other correct?
