This was a good show, the funny thing is I remember that it was so hyped and then there was this "other show" that was the lead-in. Of course that little show was CSI.

Actually, it was The Fugitive that was the lead-in. CBS' Friday night lineup in the fall of 2000 was as follows (in Eastern Standard Time):

The Fugitive - 8:00 pm
CSI - 9:00 pm
Nash Bridges 10:00 pm

Yes, CSI was an immediate hit, while this show got mixed reviews. I think it unfortunately got compared against both the iconic 60s TV series and the hit '93 film starring Harrison Ford.
