Why is the wife acting like he's the killer? Shut up!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I can't stand his wife! Almost every scene she's in she is yelling at him to catch the killer because she's "scared" and upset that he's making money off women being murdered. I'm halfway through the first season and I really hopes he continues with the affair and leaves her.
