Lobsters

The scene where Martha is talking about how lobsters are killed. . . .whew! So, what's the truth. . . do lobsters feel the boiling water or not?

The boiling water method is the only one I know. And they don't scream, that's just steam going through the cracks in their shells.

Remember that lobsters in Europe are a little different than the ones we get in the States, so perhaps cooking methods are a bit different, too.

I am amazed how callous some humans are. Yeah tell yourself that they are not
screaming...whether you can hear it or not is beside the point. They feel they can feel the pain. How would you like to be dropped into a vat of extreme heat or acid ?

reply

Yeah, they feel pain. That's why they (and you would to) excrete all the poop in their body.

I've heard it said, the poop is the tastiest part.

Whole sight; or all the rest is desolation.

Of course lobsters feel pain when they are put into boiling water. They don't like warm water or they would be in warmer bodies of water. They thrive in cold ocean water.
