Undertaker

Although the Undertaker character appears in the movie, if you look carefully, you can clearly see that it isn't the real Undertaker (played by Mark Calaway), but it is in fact a lookalike. Does anyone know who it is? Is it Brian Lee who played the fake Undertaker in WWE in 1994?

yes it is definetly brian lee(fake undertaker) from 1994. undertaker(mark calaway) doesnt appear at all in this movie. good movie still by the way.

reply

and yet Mark Calaway's Trivia on IMDB says that he is the first wrestler to appear in bollywood in this movie and that he also spoke hindi.
check it here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0130587/bio

Yes, it's definitely Brian Lee. The Million Dollar Man's Undertaker who wrestled The real Undertaker in Summerslam 1994.

I love how the real Undertaker started wearing purple instead of gray because of the "Fake Undertaker" feud. Mid-90s wrestling was great!

reply

What a let down.

reply

it dosent look like the real undertaker. marc callaway has never said he did a bollywood film. However, akshay said in an interview once it is the real undertaker. Also, on undertakers bio on imdb it does say he appeared in this film

reply

Type "brian lee" in wikipedia and see the last line of his biography...written that he appeared in that particular film.

Anyhow, can someone tell me what the deal was with Crush & Underfaker in this movie? How big was their part & what did they do? I'm guessing the main character(s) go to a wrestling show or something, and Crush/Faker is the match that's shown.

Undertaker Mark Callway got his arse kicked by Akshay Kumar

I am the moderator of the # 1 Undertaker fan-site PhenomForever.com. As a fan who has watched the Undertaker for 20 years, I can guarantee you that it was not the real Undertaker but it was Brian Lee who played Ted Dibiase's fake Undertaker in 1994 (UnderFaker). I know that the Undertaker's bio on this site talks about him doing this movie and talking in Hindi, and I have already requested them for correction of this information. You can also check the Wikipedia pages of this movie, of Mark Calaway and of Brian Lee for the correct information. And to the person who said that Mark Calaway got his a** kicked by Akshay Kumar - hard luck, that's not gonna happen. And if they ever meet in a real fight, God save Akshay because Akshay is skilled in karate but Taker is skilled in wrestling, boxing and mixed martial arts, plus has the power/ size advantage.

reply

Not just karate but also in thai boxing, thaikondo and other forms.

They are basically in the movie for about 5 minutes or so at the very beginning. They wrestle in an outdoor ring somewhere in New York City and the fake Undertaker actually kills Crush in the ring. There's this set-up involving this evil Indian group that manages Taker. After the match, there is a scene where they dispose of Crush's body in the nearest body of water.

I saw the movie many years ago when it came in theatres in the 90s... but I'm pretty sure Undertaker has a bigger role. There was also a scene later where Undertaker fights Akshay Kumar in some basement of a building before the cops show up. And I think post that Rekha's character falls for Akshay Kumar.
