Spoilers: Why does Steven..

Near the end of the film, why does Steven return the dummy to the costume shop and tell his sister that he no longer wants it, yet at the wedding he has it all of a sudden? What happened? I was expecting some sort of revelation where he realizes he needs/really does want the dummy.

I think it was because his sister REALLY needed him to be the wedding entertainment after the magician they'd hired died suddenly. It was for her. That's how I took it, anyway.
