...Was the name of Johnny Knoxville's character, Eddie Leadbetter, supposed to be a play on Pearl Jam (Eddie Veddar and the song "Yellow Ledbetter")? I mean, I know the movie was based on a book by Dave Barry, but I've never read the book, so I'm not even sure if this character was in it. But, I was just curious.

Eddie's character was one thing I liked better in the movie than the book. In the book he kicks Snake out of the plane, but that's just too big a jump for a stupid, insignificant character. In a way, casting an absolutely terrible actor like Johnny Knoxville was the best decision they could have made!
