definitely the book is much better by a lot, i laughed out loud sooo much when i read the book and only once when i saw the movie even though it was kind of funny, it just wasn't as good as the book so i didn't want to laugh i guess.

The book, definitely. Barry's voice narrating all the insane happenings as though they were perfectly normal situations was great, and the movie just couldn't duplicate it. And in the movie, the characters were much more one dimensional.

I liked the movie, but I LOVED the book. I'm not a person who reads a lot, nor do I have the time too read one book from start to finish, but until I finished reading the book Big Trouble (and laughing my ass off), I didn't go to sleep- about 14 hours after I started.

Somehow, I liked the movie better. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book too but the ending just got a bit too dark. Also, some of the jokes seemed much funnier visually (such as Martha Stewert's head superimposed on a dog).

For me, it's a push. Both were terrific and hysterically funny. If I had to choose one, I'd say the book. Books are almost always better than the movie.

Especially Stormy Weather. I might try to find it right now, it's been so long since I read that.

I'm open! There's just nothing in there!

Book was extremely funny apart from the end (agree with poster above it was uneven and got too dark for this type of book), movie was annoying more than anything...
