love that line 2..
i haven't read the book tho..is it as funny as the movie?

here's looking at you kid

The book is even funnier, but maybe in a different way. Obviously, the book doesn't have sight gags.

The movie is fairly faithful to the book except for a few things.

(MINOR SPOILERS)

Puggy's character is completely different. From the way he is described in the book, the actor who played Dennis Farina's sidekick would have been a better fit than Jason Lee. He's supposed to be a squat, unappealing guy.

Replace Martha Stewart with Elizabeth Dole

The jerk who keeps popping up (hummer, cigar) is not in the book. Some of those situations are in there, but I don't think it's supposed to be the same guy.

It seems like some minor subplots were removed entirely, but it's been a while since I read it. Also, the book wraps up all the loose ends...the movie just kind of ends.

Also, my favorite joke was spoiled. They had to change the name of the beer in the ad because the beer in the book turned out to be a real company. So while in the movie, the client wanted "Get Hooked On Fish Hook Ale", in the book it was "Get Hammered with Hammerhead Beer", which is much funnier.

"C'mon Ivan, t's just your foot!"
"see that's we at the bureau call an extremity shot...usualy the suspect survive."
"they don't do so well with what we call a torso shot...so what do you say Ivan?... wan't to experience a torso shot?"

that's my favorite part!! with the "Executive Order 76-04" HAHA

BIG TROUBLE is one of the funniest screwball comedies ever made. Just makes me laugh so hard. Wonderful movie!

Great movie, one of my faves. I love all the running jokes and the characters. I ever see a suitcase with a device that looks like a garbage disposal in it, I'm gonna run like hell. :)

Who says violence is not the answer?

I have to say that the Martha Stewart dog scenes were my favorite. I've been making Martha Stewart jokes for years and these guys really one me up in this movie. I laugh everytime I think of Martha Stewart's head on the dog.

HA HA HA HA HEY!

This movie kicked ass. Very, VERY funny. What can I say? Barrey Sonnenfeld is a genius. Another win. However, that scene with Stanley Tucci and Sofia Vergara in the bedroom still gives me the creeps! Well, she's got great ***SPOILER ALERT!*** feet and toes, but his mouth, God. Oh well.

I still laugh my ass off whenever I remember Puggy with the light shining behind him and Nina's response. I saw it comin', but it was just as hilarious, LOL.

My favourite was those Killers and all their encounters with the annoying city (forgot the name) like with the goat, the gator fans, the cigars, tarzan Puggy, "...They Have A DOG"

reply

I also loved this movie, it seemed to have kind of a Snatch or Lock Stock feel to it, how it followed a bunch of different characters and how they all came together.

Hillarious

The funniest moment in the movie for me was anything with the fat guy in it. Those scenes where he's yelling "T1TS!! T1TS!! YOU HEAR ME?! T1TS!!"

I just saw this movie last night for the first time....it is one of the funniest movies i've ever seen...the best line is "Nina i am your employer and i want to suck your feet" lol.....another great part is when everyone is at the Turk house and the two killers and watching "either he's going to knock them out with that rolling pin, or bake them a cake, i don't know it could to either way" lol....I just wished that Andy Richter could have been in it more, he's great. "we aren't suppose to carry guns" "we aren't suppose to drink on the job either" lol....and when he sees the kids and Phil Collins starts to play lol

Was that a goat?

reply

I liked that thing at the beginning with the

"My name is puggy, and i live in a tree."
that was wicked funny. and
"Dad, can me and andrew borror the geo tonight? we have to kill a girl"
"Andrew and I"

Angel: They talk about me in the chatty-rooms?

reply

Best part was definitely when Andy Richter comes out of the bushes and starts shooting. Car alarms and shattered windows follow. Priceless.

Not a favorite qoute but I lauged at it
When Matt and Jenny get to Jenny's house after being shot at

Tim Allen - Didnt we just do this last night?...Strip Poker, STRIP Poker Now THATS a good game, THIS is a stupid game!

Walter - So I was thinkin we go out sometime
Heather - Walter do you want to have sex with me
(picture freezes and Tim Allens voice over)
Allen - Walter couldnt bileave, could he have somehow found the wormhole that men have been looking for for centuries? The door that men could go trought to avoid all the talking, talking, talking and just do it? Walter thought long and hard about his responce
Walter - Yeah!

reply

It probably would have been funnier to me if I hadn't read the book sixty million times. You think the movie is funny, get the book.
