Flat Cinematography

This movie has a laundry list of problems, but I don't know if anyone has brought up the cinematography before? I know it was shot by David Tattersal of the Star Wars Prequels fame or infamey. It's not an ugly movie but the shots are very flat and don't have a lot of depth to them.

It's not just the CGI either, the regular scene just don't have much flair to them.

That being said it doesn't look anywhere near as dull as The World is Not Enough.

I disagree, I think this movie looks rather good. Quantum of Solace is the only Bond film I can think of that looks rather bland.

The cinematography might have been fantastic, unfortunately we'll never know as the film has horrible digital grading done to it, especially in the opening Korea scene.

The imagery in the North Korea opening segment is purposely dull and drab, because of the nature of that segment. The movie after that has more color saturation and highlights.

This fact is discussed in the director's commentary.

I thought the ice palace was spectacular, deep and beautifully colored.

The cinematography is fantastic in DAD - the effects, not so much.
