Was the attic really that big?

man, it's been 15yrs since i was there but if i remember correctly it's about 450sq ft. it seemed big to me because all of the furniture was gone but most of her pictures, etc. were still on the walls (encased in plexiglass, of course). it was pretty eerie being in there...imagining what it must've been like to have to be silent and not make a peep during normal working hours. it was almost as if you listened hard enough, you could hear the gestapo coming, tanks rolling down the streets, etc.
