Was he serious?

Well I was watching ab est of or something, don't know exactly what it was, I downloaed it. So after it was over, there was this documentary type thing, and the guy was talking to Dom about his "wife" and how he went to an Insane Asylum and stuff. I can't tell whether he's joking or being serious, this is Dom Joly after all.
