Not worth watching... spoilers

The story started to lose me right off when Ryan and Leo were discussing the story of a serial killer who kidnapped a kid, tortured him and raped him. Both Ryan and Leo said they thought the idea of that was erotic. Erotic?
That general theme came up a couple of times. Leo told Ryan that he had an online relationship with a pedophile once and Ryan said the rape scene in the movie that he and Matt watched was erotic.
What a bunch of garbage.
I thought that, at the very least, Ryan was going to come to some constructive conclusion about his relationship with Joel or maybe some new found awareness about relationships in general. That never materialized.
Ryan was looking for someone who was going to make him "completely happy". Get real, Ryan! He never said a word about wanting to make his potential partner happy. What some people might call "searching for himself" seemed me to be more like self-absorption.
We are all entitled to our opinions but I couldn't disagree with Alan Jaocobs critique of this movie.
He wrote:

"What's wonderful about the movie is the intimacy of the acting, realistic gay men (not macho, a little bit fem, but endearingly so).

I don't know what is endearing about guys who are "a little bit fem". No, they are a little bit annoying.
He also wrote:
"This is a wonderful film to start a dialog about your own relationship. It's a wonderful work of self-reflective cinema by an insightful writer and director."

It is a wonderful movie to show your partner or potential partner who you don't want to be or who you don't want to be with. I'd like to know what insightfulness AlanJacobs is referring to since there wasn't any.
This is a lousy movie and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I regret watching it.
