Anyone else sick of...

Anyone else sick of the old 'stupid white guy/wise asian guy' cliches? How many times can they make a movie with this premise before being redundant?

well not when... it happened like 1 year ago...!

I'm mostly sad that Chow Yun-Fat has stooped to making comicbook-comedies with Seann William Scott. It's really pathetic.

Yeah, Chow was really cheesy in this. BUT, the thing I loved about this movie was the fightscene where they're running and Chow jumps up on the car. SOOOOOO reminiscent of his old movies, like The Killer. The man is a master with guns, and it shows. That scene rocked.

I would like to see less movies with American actors who have no martial arts training, and that way, they can stop doing this slightly sped up fighting style. Know what I mean? Like they just quickened the tape just a smidge so it looks fast?

Seann was pretty good though. The scenes with him and Chow were great. and Chow always rocks when he fights, plus he reminds me of a younger version of my dad.

to answer the original poster...
this premise will wear out the day that the '"cool black guy" teaches the "goofy white guy" how act' premise wears out. Which will be never. People are just stupid that way. You just have to ignore it sometimes.
