This movie wasn't meant to be great. I hate it when people say it was bad. It wasn't even supposed to be good, probably. It was probably just supposed to be a movie for you to watch. Wait, I must be wrong, they advertised so much, put the movie on all sorts of products and jammed popups on the internet. Wait a minute, they didn't.

shareI also am a big fan of martial arts movies. I must have watche 80% of Jackie Chan's movies, i have also seen a lot of Jet Li movies (from the 'chinese period' also). And i just felt the need to argue with yor point. After seeing Bulletproof Monk i decided never to go to see a 'martial arts movie' if it doesnt star actual martial arts experts.
I thought 'if Chow Yun Fat played in Hidden tiger and that was a beautiful movie, he could do it again'. Also, I like Sean William Scott and hoped this would be a watchable movie.
BUT the i saw the movie. And it sucked. There was to much wire action and too little martial arts. If you say you are a martial arts fan, how could you compare this movie to any of Jackie Chans' ???
These actors have little or no knowledge of martial arts and one can see it from a mile.
FURTHERMORE: there were very few fighting scenes and short. THIS is a B class movie.( the whole plot is BS)
Too bad, coz Chow Yun Fat is can do much more.And so coul SWS (imo).
I wasnt expecting this movie to be average at best... but i still didn't enjoy it. By no means a bad effort for a first time director, but... the story was just boring, and film itself was just bland.
