I feel so alone

Am I the only person in the world who actually LIKED Bulletproof Monk? But I would enjoy anything with Seann in it, and I'm also one of very few people I know that watches movies for the actors and doesn't give a *beep* about the plot.

Nope, I loved it. Great movie from my opinion, and I'll be first in line for the dvd on tuesday.

I agree, this was a pretty good movie, ask a big CYF fan, I can really appreciate that he tried to do something diffrent with this movie.

well the reason i kinda liked it was not because of sean...it was because of chowyunfat. i admit this isnt the worst movie ive seen with cyf in it..but it certainly isnt even close to being one of his better ones...anyway, if you can ignore the story, and the horendous film making..hah...and just focus on the acting, then yea you can enjoy it alot...

My wife and I just watched it last night and to tell ya the truth it was better then both me and her expected. I expected it to do the Jackie Chan thing and show all the good stuff either in the previews or in the credits when there showing him screw up stunts and fight scenes. I will admit that the movie was full of obvious attempts at "Matrix" style filming and special effects but really since the "Matrix" most action films have had that so I can't really take marks away from it for that. I persionally was glad that Sean Williams Scott wasn't playing a dumb@ss prick in this movie, it was a good break away from his standard characters and kinda refreshing to see that he actually does have talent. Now as for CYF this is actually the first thing I have ever seen him in and I thought he did a very good job, I didn't notice any problem with his english and it seemed to come out a lot smoother then Jackie Chan's english. So again I personally enjoyed the movie and will be buying it fairly soon.

I like the movie too. Not much plot to it, but it is still a fun flick. I enjoy watching Jaime King as well, she is the girl who plays 'Jade'.
Even in a not-so-good movie, you can't go wrong with CYF, he makes any movies to become interesting.
The action was fun to watch, overall, very entertaining movie.
I guess it all depends on your expectation and the mind set when you watch this movie.

Dani I dont think it matters on what is bad or good in the movie industry when it comes out, the public can pound the hell out of it and the rest can enjoy the movie, everyone enjoys a movie for certain reasons that hits home. I never seen this movie but I just wanted to tell you dont listen to critics when a movie comes out and its judged, go see it for yourself and make your own decision. It's the best thing you can do! Critics sometimes lack and even if it did bad with the public there are certain movies that capture certain people's attention in a better way. Different things for different people, movies are no exception with our taste for food or thoughts or our occupations, we all do things differently and have a different opinion on everything, movies fall in that same category as the rest....it's how you picture it!!!

I thought the movie was great to watch and I wanted to go see it when it was out at the movie theaters but did not go for some reason. So I waited til it came out on DVD and rented it at the local video store. I enjoyed the movie.

I am surprised that they have not made a sequel to it yet.

I loved it. I love watching YFC, he's a great actor, and Seann is a real cut up. They make the perfect team. Honestly don't people watch movies just for the fun of it anymore. I'm sick of all this scrutinizing. It was a classic piece of work with fun, excitement, and all the simple elements that make a cult favorite out of any movie. If you're looking for some great meaning-of-live on film go out and get yourself a copy of 'the Four Noble Truths' if you want fun (one of the stongest parts of enlightenment) get this movie and leave the heavy stuff for another time.

I enjoyed this movie, simply because it was just a fun little movie, no serious plotness to it.

I think it depends what mood your in, and that day I was in a simple movie mood.

I loved this film, it was just different than the usual crappy predictable Hollywood films. It was great to see Seann William Scott out of his "Stiffler" comedy roles

I hope Chow Yun Fat brings out more stuff

Today's audiences have gotten awfully cynical. Not to knock the Matrix fans who have somehow compared this films with that trilogy (WHAT?!) but the are 2 very different animals. The Matrix trilogy (which certainly has it's merits to be sure) is heavy handed, preachy and self-important. It is. That's one of the things a lot of fans to dig about it. It's like viewers are participating in something meaningful, while still being able to cme of "cool". Bulletproof Monk is the opposite. In there is some "fortune cookie" philosophy, unabashed sentiment and syrupy scenes...but it's okay to like it still. Somehow that kind of cheesey "B" film quality often seems more genuine than films that in themselves try prety darn hard to be their own religion. But I'm analyzing all of this far too intensely. Bulletproof Monk is fun, it's a little bit silly, and fun to watch. It's okay to like stuff that doesn't try too hard to be "cool".
