Top 10: Foreign-Language Films

I've made a list of the top ten foreign-language films, and 'Amores perros' made the cut. Check out the full list to see where it landed:

Do you think it deserves to make this list?

reply

You must be American, right ?

reply

Your list is good, but Letters from Iwo Jima is not a foreign movie, it's from the US.

reply

I've seen most of the ones on your list, but I have bookmarked it so I can watch the rest you have as well as the ones people added in the comments. Thanks again!

reply

I don't think so .. I just didn't like it. You should also watch " The Broken Circle Breakdown " and tell me if you think of it as one of the top ten :)

reply

Watch movies by Michael Haneke.

foreign-language films? since this is the international movie database "foreign" could only mean from another planet. didn't know there are movies by aliens from another world?

reply

This is not the International movie data base, it is the INTERNET Movie Data Base, that's what IMDb stands for...
So yeah, this is a foreign-language film.

reply

Although there are good movies here, clearly you have not been exposed to middle east movies, or even japanese films and France would be easy find fantastic histories beyond Amalie.
Have you seen south american movies?
El secreto de sus ojos?
Relatos salvajes?
La estrategia del Caracol?

How is not in your list a movie like white ribbon from Germany are you kidding me?

Have you seen black cat/ white cat?
Spain?
Russia?
Afganistán?

There are a hidden world behind the awards... Last, even it was in 2000 Amores Perros is clearly influenced by movies like memento and pulp fiction, so please remove the "very original" label that you stick on it

reply

How can you not include "City of God"?
