i am usually a pretty good judge of movies and find it hard to believe this movie got such a low rating. almost everyone i talk to about this movie really likes it. sure it's no citizen kane but i think it delivers very well on what this movie is intended to be: light, entertaining and very funny! also having a couple hot chicks like jamie pressly and britney daniel helps. i like the story too. i would rate this movie a 7.5 to 8.......what about you?

shareYea this movie is hilarious, but comedies tend to have a lower rating than we'd hope because everyone has a different idea of what is funny. So one person will give it a 10 and the next might not have really got the humor so they gave it a 1.

shareTotally inappropriate rating, this movie deserves at least 6.5-7.0 or higher. And Joe wasn't really THAT much of an idiot, he's an insanely honest and sincere, heartwarming character.
He doesn't have an obsession with money, power, fame... He just wants to find his parents. That itself tells a lot about him.
Sure it's not a "great" movie but it's one I really don't get tired of. I will watch it over and over if I could. Probably a 7-7.5
shareI love this movie! I never liked David Spade before and I dont even remember how or when I first saw the movie but I cant watch it enough. It was just a totally different kind of comedy that I thought was perfect. It is full of great old music and movie stars. Everyone I talk to about it has never seen or even heard of it. You can't help but like the "Joe Dirt" character and root for him. Totally underrated in my book. Ever a chance for a sequal?

Good stupid comedy, it did it's job. 7 out of 10 for me. Comedy's are a hit and miss because I think they really depend on taste. If you don't appreciate the type of humor in this movie then yeah you won't like it.

I agree I think it is a great COMEDY. A classic one of my all-time favs. Deserves a 8-9 it is one of those movies that if you are channel searching and find it you watch it i.e. Old School, SuperTroopers, Waynes World, Spaceballs
shareI don't like comedies; especially sophomoric, campy ones like Joe Dirt. I gave it an 8 though. Solid. I laugh every time I watch it. It is one of the movies that my spouse and I both enjoy re-watching.
