Flossing Your Teeth With Lipstick On
It has always really bothered me when actors have make-up on in scenes where they should not have (visible) make-up. If it's part of the story, that's fine. For example, in GIRL, INTERRUPTED, Angelina Jolie looked crazed in the part she played and the "no-make-up" look helped define that. Yet, Wynona Rider woke up every morning with perfect lipstick. Jarring -- takes me away from the film.
I couldn't help my notice that Claire was flossing her teeth with lipstick on. Okay, so this couple flossed together (yuk) and she used the toilet while he brushed his teeth. Not my thing, but part of their relationship. Fine. But come on, flossing your teeth with perfect lipstick. Doesn't makes sense. Then, she went to bed with her eye shadow and lipstick intact. When I see that, my mind starts to wander to things like oily skin and make-up stains all over bed linens. This make-up phenonemon is hardly unique to this film, but it bothered me all the same.
Just an observation…I didn't lose any sleep over it (but I did not have lipstick on when I GOT that sleep! :0)
