Why was sid crying after sleeping with Thea?

So why was sid crying after he had sex with thea? I don't understand. He said that he just wanted to be friends, so was he breaking up with her? But he was the one crying, and thea only was phazed at the fact that he was crying. He seemed like the kind of guy that it was probably his first time. But then he was upset at the fact that thea messed with coles because he spit in her face. Maybe he is just overly emotional, but COME ON! Someone please help me understand this character!

I'm assuming it's because they will never be able to say they are true platonic friends and the dynamics of their friendship have changed permanently. They can never look at each other the same way because they crossed that line.

As for Sid spitting on Thea's face, I'm assuming that he got disgusted with her lack of morals. I mean, she messed around with Coles right in front of Sid AND Sam. To have sex with a guy in front of the guy you recently deflowered and your best friend is probably the most disrespectful thing you could do.

well, sid had a huge crush on thea, he was completely in love with her...and its obvious that she just had sex with him "just because", with no intention of having a serious relation (that was what sid wanted).

so after sex, becomes obvious Thea is dumping him, and he can't stand the idea of loosing her so he doesnt mind not having sex with her, he just wants to be friend and keep having her company around. he's crying because he fears of losing her...the girl he loves (there is an old brasilian song that has a line something like "you should never be in love with someone that doesnt love you, it's beter to be crucified" and I guess this is the same sort of situation).

as for the spit in the face, it's Sid "I can't take this any more" cry of anger, he cant stand the idea of always being there for thea, while she gives him so litle respect, to the point of having sex with other men in front of him.

Although it wasn't shown, Thea was letting him down after they had sex...the "I just want to be friends" talk. Clearly, he thought that they would be BF/GF after they had sex.

I'm not that proud of everything I've done, but I'm not that ashamed, either.

He was really into her and she wanted a night of sex, nothing more.
