If Hogan vs Flair was the main event-How the rest of the card might be
I have been wondering if the orginal plan for Hogan vs Flair was the main event
(As much as I like this WM I think HvF would be more grand) how would that change the rest of the event. I think it would be something like this
1. Randy Savage vs Jake Roberts with some special stipulations or gimmick match-
no dq, cage, street fight,I quit, etc. I really think if Flair still fought Hogan then the bookers would continue this awesome feud to end it here. There might be a loser leave town stipulation or Jake gets suspended for violating the
no snake rule since Jake left the WWF after this match. The Undertaker's face turn might also happen-like he refuses to interfer or refuses to hand him the snake bag. This will set up Savage as a great babyface threat to Flair at Summerslam or Survivor Series
2. Undertaker vs Sid. I think this prob be a double turn. Taker turned face earlier so Sid's heel turn will also take place in this match. The angle could be that Sid gets Papa Shango to be in his corner to combat Taker's supernatural
aura-Taker gets the pin or dq win. Sid is going to be a victum of the streak anyway so might as well be now.
3. Ultimate Warrior's suprise return. It might be in the Hogan/Flair match but
it would make since to appear in the Savage/Roberts match since there was a huge
build-up for a Warrior vs Roberts match before Warrior left. It wouldn't surprise me if Warrior also appeared in the Sid vs Taker match
4. The Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper IC match would go on as planned. Really a great match
5. Shawn Micheals vs Tito Santana would still happen. Really Santana was a good opponent to kick off Micheals great career
6. Money Inc vs LOD-This may or not happen with all the other changes but this is what should happen. If there was anyway the Road Warriors could compete in
during this event then they should
7. Put Sgt Slaughter, Mountie, Natural Disasters, Nasty Boys, Tatanka (never cared for his streak at the time, British Bulldog, Rick Martel, Berserker,
Iron Sheik, Kamala,Kerry Von Erich Jim Neidhart, Greg Valentine, Virgil,
Repo Man, Skinner, and Jim Duggan in a battle royal-Another Warrior appearance
opportunity. Warrior could be a last min surprise and win it. He could do this then get involved in the one of the big matches. Winning some match at mania will def help get him over as a num 2 face
With the possible exception of the last 2 matches, I really think this would
the card if the orginal Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair happened. Any other ideas
if WM 8 had Hogan vs Flair?
