It doesnt show any utility for the codes in the movie

the only time he actually use the code is to tell coordenates to blow a cannon, it couldnt be told in english?

I thought about that too...

I guess if the japanese overhear a message about their cannon coordinates, then they move the cannon elsewhere and continue shooting?... I couldnt think of any other reason why that would need to be in code during the invasion of Saipan.

Thats exactly what I suggested.

It does not matter regardless of what you think, an order is an order, the US HC was afraid that is anything was done in English that the Japanese could counter it. If the Japanese hear it, they might of been able to either counter it or evacuate the area.

It was more about long range radio communication about grander operations, etc...

I really doubt Navajo soldiers were specifically used to call in artillery because there just weren't enough of them, and English would probably have had the same effect.

they do in one scene (when they are in camp) radio traffic where the code guy is saying (subtitled) orders for what time to begin a patrol in some sector. he says they expect light resistance and the other guy responds "no resistance in light." that is something you wouldn't want decoded (as you say it wouldn't really matter with calling artillery).
