Rom-com gone awry

Wannabe Siamese twin dark comedy/rom-com was vomited up by a (usually) excellent group of actors & a clearly new director. Who the hell wrote this garbage? Why were otherwise good actors so wooden? The animation & far-fetched situations were annoying & on the whole, this dud tried far too hard to be artsy & clever and just fell flat. What a mess. It could've been so much more.

Ah... just read that it was one off the actors who wrote it. He should stick to acting. Also, I can see how it would work as a play, & that may be part of the reason it tanked as a movie... not ask things translate well.
