Typical - women must suffer for their sexuality

SPOILERS

I am so weary of women being made to suffer for their sexuality, then if they're lucky they get pregnant to redeem themselves. What can we expect from a world that has given us sexless TWILIGHT (oh, the swill).

In CRUSH the subject of Andie MacDowell's affection would not have been dead if it weren't for her two "friends" meddling. They never tell her the truth and let her believe that her faithful beloved was trying to cheat on her with one of them. The misconception is what led to her tossing him out, the end of her romance (and sexlife) and his death. But, wait, she's pregnant -- all is right with the world and her wanton sexcapades have ended properly...with a baby.

The friends all reunite as if nothing significant had happened. Andie has her baby (and no man and no more sex) and her friends both find romance.

What?

Well it's every woman's dream to be pregnant right? I mean, a woman is not a somebody until they birth a child. (I am being sarcastic- but that is the common thought of society)

reply

So true, but what can you really expect? It was written by a guy. They assume all girls dream of babies, like we assume, all guys dream about sex.

The women suffered for their sexuality? How about Jed???

Umm...was there a tornado that killed off Kate or something? I'm sure she will go on to have many relationships and much sex. To think that a woman that stunningly beautiful would not have all kinds of offers is just silly. :-D
