How many people do you think knew about Paulie/Tori?

I'm just curious to know if anyone else thinks other students were aware of their relationship before Allison discovered the two together. I think that most of Paulie and Tori's classmates were aware of their relationship. Even if they weren't sure of it, I think they probably had their suspicions. I mean, the way Paulie stood up for Tori in Ms. Bannet's class and how they held hands in choir, as well as the way they were always that little bit more touchy feely (Paulie dancing with Tori in the beginning) and always looked at each other lovingly. I just think the other students in their year were probably aware of the relationship, but just never said anything or didn't care. Plus, in the beginning Paulie mentions how Ms. Vaughn probably didn't want the two of them "up there all alone" or something like that. That could just be her saying that but I feel like it had a deeper meaning (more than just Paulie's awareness that they were together; I think it was a sort of sign that others knew about their relationship). I've also read on here that people think their friends were aware they were together. I agree but also think their entire year (or the majority) knew about it as well. You know, one of those things everyone knows about but just doesn't mention or talk about. If this is true, I think it makes the film even more poignant, in that no one really cared. They all just either turned a blind eye or didn't judge them because of it, etc. The problems only began when Allison found out and Tori in turn made Paulie out to be a creep. It makes one wonder how the film would have been had Tori not turned her back on Paulie and fabricated a bunch of lies. Would the other students have berated them? Would they be outcasted? Or would just the fallout between Tori and her family be the focal point?

Did you notice the sly skeptical look that Kara=Caroline Dhavernas gives Tori when the latter insists that there is no truth to the rumour about her and Paulie? She seems to say: There is nothing between you and P--right. We'll go along with what you say just to humor you--but me and everybody else here knows better than to believe you.

Their behavior around campus in the beginning would have left no doubt that they both had a thing for each other. The other students seemed to have pretty much tolerated it until Allison and her little friends came barging in one morning, and caught P&T together in such a compromised position. That completely forced the issue for Tori, who was afraid of repercussions from parents etc. Which begs the question, why didn't they lock their door, esp when these obnoxious little brats had a history of suddenly running in unannounced and uninvited? LOL

I have to agree that overall I'm sure some of the girls saw the relationship there. But then again, there are some girls who are just touchy feely and very close who aren't gay at all. I think it's possible also that no one did notice.

As for predawnlight's comment about how most of the school tolerated them until Allison's friends spread what they saw, I sort of disagree. Only because it didn't seem apparent that even after everyone heard about it they had a big problem with it. I mean , obviously there would be some girls that had issues with it, but Tori threw her defenses on so fast that we didn't really get to see her classmate's reactions to it being a relationship.

Hahaha, I think they should have locked the door, too. Although it's possible the doors didn't have locks. Either way, if the girls hadn't burst in on them there wouldn't have been a movie. XD

Then we wouldn't have a film ;)

I did notice the sly look Tori's friend gave her when she was stating that she definitely was not a lesbian! It amuses me haha

Also, I never thought about them locking their door, but that would have been a good idea. Could have stopped a lot of events from happening!
