Ive been a fan of this movie since it first came out i still have it on Vhs and watch it every so often. Has anyone ever read the book that this movie is based on Wives of Bath?? Is the book as good as the movie?? Or is it totally different ? Would like to know if the book is good!!

shareCompletely agree. I regret not finishing it but I don't know. It just didn't have that special something to keep me reading. I still have the book, but it is on a pod so I'm not sure when I will get it back but maybe I will reread it and give it a second chance lol.
shareI realize this is a very old post but perhaps someone new will come around with the same question. I just finished the book and I have to say that aside from having almost nothing in common with the movie, it's not very enjoyable. It's slightly disturbing with a bunch of anxsty filler in between. I have no idea how the movie was even "loosely" based on this odd text other than a few character names and being set at a girls boarding school. So odd
