Awful, awful, awful!

So needlessly melodramatic. And that scream everytime Piper Perabo's character ran away. It was just completely mishandled, particularly the cheesy slow motion effects used when she was fighting with the boyfriend at the end with the sword. So bad. Luckily Jessica Pare is working with better material now on Mad Men.

It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

Thank you. I thought that Piper Perabo's acting was so self-involved (look at me, I am in such pain) that it became nothing but tedious as the film moved on.

Yeah I saw this a few years ago on TV and found it so very very cringeworthy. But I guess a lot of people like it! Different strokes...

If anyone was self-involved it was the character of Victoria she loved Paulie but just kicked her to the curb because she was too afraid to stand up to her sister and her parants and admit she loved Paulie!! I would never kill myself but i have known how its felt to love someone who wont admit it to their family that they are gay!! I really felt for the character of Paulie!!

Acting critics on IMDb message boards lol. It's really not that bad and she was most likely going on the direction of a director so come on, people. I'm not a fan boy or anything but come on.

It's a little melodramatic and the actresses are not the most talented out there, but isn't it a little ironic to respond to a somewhat melodramatic movie with such very melodramatic criticism? The movie is hardly "awful, awful, awful!".

As for Jessica Pare, one of her more recent CINEMATIC forays was a long topless cameo in "Hot Tub Time Machine". Her boobs may be more spectacular than her acting ability, but you can't really say she's doing "better material" these days.
